Well, that was quite a weekend!
Basingstoke Live! is a free music festival, now in its fifth year, organised by Basingstoke and Dean council and what a great job they did with the organising, security and keeping the whole place clean. I'm not one for portaloos at the best of times, but they even kept them useable all weekend!!
Setting up on Friday was a challenge in a strong wind, but by the start of the festival on Saturday, the sun shone, the temperature rose and the crowds rapidly descended on us to enjoy four stages of live music and all the other attractions. We met some real characters and got home exhausted but happy after a great day's (and night's) trading.
Sunday was a little cloudier and there were definitely fewer people around which was a shame for the performers, but we still enjoyed ourselves & hope to be back again next year.
Lots to do this week including a visit tomorrow night from a lovely customer who wants me to make a beaded headband/tiara for her wedding in September. Yikes! That's a bit more resposibility than I usually like & I'm terrified I'll do it all wrong, but I guess if she has faith in me, who am I to argue ;)
Off to give the house a bit of a tidy now - if she sees the state of my jewellery making room, she'll regret her decision to commission me!!
Have a good wek y'all
